Man Accused In Wife's Death Arrested In Knoxville

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. - A man wanted in connection with the death of his wife in Robertson County has been taken into custody.

Hugo Morales-Correa, 33, was captured late Sunday night with the help of the Knox County Sheriff's Office. He was transported to the Knox County Detention Facility where he will remain in custody until he is transported back to the Robertson County Detention Facility.

On Friday, Maria Carmen Mora's family members reported to sheriff's deputies that her husband had possibly murdered her.

When police went to their home they found Maria's body, but Morales-Correa was nowhere to be found.

The investigation is still ongoing.
