Shooting Victim Found Dead After Crashing Car Into Fence

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police have identified the man found shot to death inside a car that crashed into a fence late Saturday night in east Nashville.

Police said 35-year-old Wheeler Shuntez Goldman, also known as Wheeler Drew, was found shot several times inside his black Chevrolet Monte Carlo around 11:30 p.m. after it crashed into a fence along Joseph Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers working in the area heard several shots at 11:35 p.m. and minutes later, they found the car.

At the time of his murder, police said Goldman was free on bond on charges of gun possession by a convicted felon, leaving the scene of an injury accident, failure to report an accident and driving without a license.
