JOELTON, Tenn. - A vandal took aim on the Joelton Prescription Shop this past Saturday and the pharmacist thinks his business was not the only target.

Surveillance video show the man pulling into the store's parking lot a 8 a.m. for several seconds, then pulling out and parking at a near-by dentist office.

He was driving what looked to be a newer model black Chevrolet Traverse with chrome wheels.

Video surveilance shows a man wearing a black sock cap walking through the pharmacy's parking lot, and then to the side of the building.

"When he got around he tried to disable the alarm system," said pharmacist Dr. Ronnie Felts.

The vandal then went to a window in the front of the store and tried to break it with a large metal tool. He was not able to gain entry into the building.

He also was not successful in disabling the alarm system which sounded when the glass window cracked. A security camera then caught the man running away from the pharmacy.

Dr. Felts thought it might have been the vandal's second failed robbery attempt on Saturday morning.

"An hour before they broke in here there was an alarm at Pleasant View Pharmacy, which is nine miles away," Dr. Felts said.

The pharmacist also pointed to a Christmas Day robbery at a pharmacy in Springfield. There surveillance video showed a man stealing several bottles of medication. Dr. Felts said the man resembled to vandal from Saturday morning.

"A lot of similarities, especially the black sock cap and the vehicle he's been seen in at the different pharmacy robberies," according to Dr. Felts.

The pharmacist is offering a $1000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the person who tried to break into his pharmacy.
