Family Escapes Fire That Destroyed Home In Mt. Juliet

MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A family of three escaped a fire that destroyed their home in Mt. Juliet overnight.

The house on Whitnel Drive caught fire around midnight. Firefighters were not able to immediately go inside the home, because there was too much smoke and fire.

The family was able to get out safely, but their family dog perished in the fire. They stayed with family members for the night.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
