NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A man was arrested for stealing more than $12,000 in Christmas gifts from a car in west Nashville.
An affidavit said 19-year-oldJackie Cross III broke into a car parked in front of a Patina Circle home.
Police said he stole a $3,000 Hitachi projector, gift certificates valued at $900, Chanel sunglasses worth $50, a David Yurmon bracelet valued at $2,000, a $1,000 Louis Vuitton purse, a diamond necklace worth $2,000, and two diamond rings worth $1,000 apiece.
Cross was caught after he pawned the projector at a pawn shop on Gallatin Pike, and used his own ID.
He was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle.
It was not clear if the victim was able to recover all of the items stolen from her vehicle.
