Police: Man Shot During Altercation Over Woman

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said an altercation over a woman led to a shooting on Tuesday night.

Police said an ex-boyfriend of a woman went to the home of her current boyfriend on Monticello Street around 10:30 p.m. The men got into a verbal and physical altercation before the ex-boyfriend shot the current boyfriend twice.

The victim was treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The shooter was taken into custody, but there was no word on whether he has been charged yet.

No identities were immediately released.
