Crashes Slow Traffic During Rainy Commute

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Several crashes have slowed traffic on local roadways during the rainy Thursday morning commute.

A five-car crash was reported on Long Hollow Pike near the I-65 overpass just before 8 a.m. One person was taken to Baptist Hospital with non-critical injuries.

A crash blocked the right lane of the entrance to I-65 south from Vietnam Veterans Parkway. It was cleared by 8 a.m.

A cargo fire blocked the right lanes of Interstate 65 southbound at exit 74/Old Hickory Boulevard in Brentwood for about a half hour. It was cleared by 7:30 a.m.

Traffic was backed up for a little more than an hour after a crash on Interstate 24 westbound at Harding Place (mile marker 46). No injuries were reported.

Another crash had backed up traffic for about an hour on Interstate 24 westbound mile marker 58 (Blue Hole Road overpass). It was cleared by 6:45 a.m.
