NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have identified the woman who was killed after crashing a truck into a stone pillar overnight in Bellevue.
Police said 28-year-old Lacy Wilkerson, of Fairview, was driving a Ford F-150 west on Highway 100, near Edwin Warner Park, just after midnight Friday when the truck left the roadway, and struck a stone pillar. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there was evidence of alcohol at the scene of the crash, and the preliminary contributing factor was failure to maintain lane of travel. The medical examiner will test for alcohol/drugs.
Wilkerson was not wearing a seatbelt.
Highway 100 near Old Hickory Boulevard was shut down until just after 5 a.m. while police investigated the crash.
