JACKSON, Tenn. - Authorities in Madison County arrested a homeowner after discovering thousands of dollars' worth of prescription and illegal drugs inside his home.
Officers got a Crime Stoppers tip about a drug house on Bridlewood Cove in north Jackson. During a search, they found dozens of psychedelic mushroom plants, marijuana buds, several ounces of hashish, bottles of pain killers, packages of synthetic marijuana, as well as growing equipment and packaging materials.
Police said the estimated street value of the drugs was more than $28,000.
Police arrested the homeowner, 45-year-old John Ashley Snider, on more than a dozen drug charges.
He was held at the Madison County Criminal Justice Complex where to await arraignment in Jackson City Court.
