CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - A Clarksville man has now been indicted after a crash involving two other vehicles. Witnesses told police they saw Danny Bueno, 41, driving erratically just before the crash happened back on August 31.
The crash happened near the intersection of Dunbar Cave Road and Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. Police say Bueno was driving his Ford Explorer west on Dunbar Cave Road when he crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a Ford pickup truck.
Bueno left the scene and continue west on Dunbar Cave Road. He then collided with a Chevy Tahoe that had been parked at Wilma Rudolph Boulevard by a driver trying to stop him.
Investigators say Bueno intentionally rammed the Tahoe, then sped off on Wilma Rudoph Boulevard. Officers located and stopped Bueno at the Trane's Parking lot at Stone Container Road. He suffered a severe injury to his arm and was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Bueno is now indicted on two counts of DUI, two counts of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and two counts of leaving the scene. On Friday, he was booked into the Montgomery County jail on $5,000 bond. He has made bond, and has been released.
