FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Marshawn Powell scored 17 points and BJ Young added 14 as Arkansas pulled away for a 56-33 win over Vanderbilt.

Powell, who was held scoreless in a loss at Texas A&M on Wednesday, scored the first eight points for the Razorbacks (10-5, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) on Saturday and added six rebounds and six steals. Young added 12 of his 14 points in the second half as Arkansas bounced back from a season-worst 51-point effort in an 18-point loss against the Aggies.

Sheldon Jeter had eight points to lead the Commodores (6-8, 0-2), who matched their season low for points and narrowly avoided setting the school mark for scoring futility. Vanderbilt committed a season-worst 26 turnovers, leading to 23 points for the Razorbacks.
