Crime scene at 4th Avenue North and James Robertson Parkway

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- One man has been charged after a robbery shooting Tuesday morning.
Officers with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said that 28-year-old Jason Diehl shot 32-year-old Marlin Williamson during a robbery hold-up at Williamson's home on 14th Avenue North around 9:30 Tuesday morning. Police said shot Williamson, in the neck, took $40 and fled the scene.
Diehl was later spotted by an officer on 4th Avenue North driving erratically. The officer pulled Diehl over, and noticed the window had been shot out, a gun on the front seat, and the Diehl was bleeding.
Both Diehl and Williamson were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Diehl was booked on aggravated robbery charged and taken to the Davidson County Jail. Officials said he had previous convictions for theft, burglary, and drug possession.
