NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police were called to a dramatic scene Thursday on the Cumberland River: a car fully submerged in water.
Officials with the Nashville Fire Department said the vehicle appeared to be at the boat ramp and was swept up into the water. Crews weren't able to dive into the river to check out the situation, because the water was moving too fast.
Fortunately, no one was inside the vehicle, according to officials.
Metro Nashville Police and officials from the Office of Emergency Management will continue to investigate and hope to find out where the car came from and who it belongs to.
