Mother Faces Murder Charges

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A woman is facing murder charges stemming from the death of her 17-month-old daughter.

Neena Costanza, 21, surrendered at Metro Police headquarters late Friday afternoon. Her daughter, Eloise Costanza died July 9th, from severe head trauma. Doctors originally determined her injuries were consistent with abuse, and police arrested Costanza's boyfriend, Jacob Hughes.

Now, they've arrested the mother with accusations of neglect. Police say she knew about Hughes' alleged abusive behavior but still left her daughter with him.
