NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will be temporarily closing its doors for construction starting Tuesday.
The Music City staple will be closed until February 6 to prepare for construction related to the property's expansion.
More than 200-thousand square feet will be added to the venue, and it will be connected to the new Omni Hotel.
"We've had more than four million visitors since we moved downtown in May 2001," said Museum Director Kyle Young in a release. "We are usually closed on Tuesdays in January and February for routine maintenance, upgrades, etc."
The Country Music Hall of Fame will reopen on February 7.
