NASHVILLE, Tenn.- One man was shot while walking down the street near Fisk University.

The shooting occurred just after 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of Phillips Street. Police said a man was walking down the street when a white sedan with three passengers pulled up near him and opened fire.

The victim was shot twice, once in the leg and once in the foot. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

Police were interviewing witnesses, but have not developed a lead in the case. The victim's name was not released. Police did not say if the victim and suspects knew each other.
