MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Investigators said an early Wednesday morning fire at a Murfreesboro motel appears to be suspicious.
Heavy smoke was pouring out one of the rooms at the Regal Inn on South Church Street when firefighters got on the scene around 1 a.m. Wednesday.
After the fire was extinguished, officials said they discovered a bizarre clue inside the room where the fire started: a message written on a mirror inside the room.
The possible arsonist wrote "What comes around goes around. I have always been faithful unlike you."
Investigators will now try to locate the person who had last stayed in the room, as the name on the room registry appeared to be fake.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the fire.
The Assistant Fire Marshal will determine the cause of the fire.
