95-Year-Old Completes Mayor’s Walk 100 Mile Challenge

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Mayor Karl Dean took time out on Thursday to visit with 95-year-old Ruth Hessey, a local woman who completed the Mayor's Walk 100 Miles Challenge.

Hessey was able to complete the challenge by walking laps in the hallway at the senior living center where she lives. In addition to exercise, Ruth plays the piano, organizes card games and hosts birthday parties at Saint Paul Senior Living Community.

Mayor Dear presented present Hessey with a congratulatory Walk 100 t-shirt for achieving the 100-mile goal and walked a lap with her.
