Bank Robbery Reported On Thompson Lane - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro Police have responded to a bank robbery near Berry Hill.

Officials said the Wells Fargo Bank on Thompson Lane was robbed just before 6 p.m. Friday. Police have asked for the public's help in identifying the gunman. 

The suspect was described as a black man who is approximately 5'10" tall.  At the time of the robbery he was wearing dark clothing, a puffy jacket and a Titans cap.

Police said the man demanded money from a teller while showing a pistol in his right hand. After receiving cash, the gunman fled on foot behind the bank.  It was unclear how much, money the suspect fled the scene with.

Anyone recognizing the robber  was urged to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
