Train Hit By Gunfire

LEWISBURG, Tenn.- In Marshall County, a CSX train was struck by gunfire in Lewisburg just before 5:00 Sunday evening. After the shots were fired, the train was stopped and police along with CSX special agents responded quickly.

The train was carrying 108 cars from Birmingham to Nashville with several engineers on board. No injuries were reported. After the initial stop, the train was allowed to carry on.

An investigation is ongoing.
