Murfreesboro Fire Threatens Apartment Complex - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- In Rutherford County, several crews worked together to save an apartment building from burning to the ground. Murfreesboro firefighters responded to the blaze on East Northfield Boulevard just after 9:30 Sunday morning. When they arrived, they saw heavy flames coming from the building.

Fortunately, crews were able to extinguish the fire fairly quickly. No one was injured, and the American Red Cross is assisting two displaced families.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
