WHITE COUNTY, Tenn. – A White County man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly abusing his girlfriend's two-year-old son.
On Sunday night, 25-year-old Andrew Parker was charged with aggravated child abuse of a child under six years of age, a class A felony.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Parker, who lives with the child's mother, was watching the boy while the mother was at work. Once she got home, the mom rushed the boy to the hospital with a broken arm, bruising, and brain injuries.
The child was in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Parker was booked into the White County jail on $500,000 bond. He is scheduled to be in court on February 1.
