Police Arrest Two Men Wanted For Shoplifting

SMYRNA, Tenn.- Thanks to tips from local residents, police in Smyrna have arrested two people wanted for shoplifting.

Officials said on November 28th two men and a small child came into Gil's Ace Hardware at on Nissan Drive in Smyrna. The men browsed the store before removing power tools from their packaging and concealing them in their coats and walking out.

After asking for leads from the public to identify the suspects police were able to arrest 32-year-old Raymond E. Davy Jr. and 29-year-old Steven J. Ballard. On January 22, 2012 both men plead guilty to the charges of shoplifting and were given probation as well as asked to pay restitution to Gil's Ace Hardware.
