GREENBRIER, Tenn. - Officials with the Greenbrier Police Department said that a grenade was found at a local Dollar General Store there on Wednesday.
According to police sometime on Wednesday a man found a grenade at the Dollar General Store on Highway 41 in Greenbrier. The customer notified store employees who immediately called police. Officers with Greenbrier police responded to the store and after investigating the device called the Bomb Squad division of the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The device was removed from the store and sent to Tennessee Highway Patrol to be examined. It was unclear if the grenade was live at the time it was found. Police have not released any other details.
