HICKMAN COUNTY, Tenn. – Interstate 40 eastbound has reopened after a semi-truck caught fire early Thursday morning.
The fire broke out around 3 a.m. Thursday at mile marker 151. The truck was carrying vegetables, and was still burning around 6 a.m.
One fire truck ran out of water trying to fight the flames. At one point, authorities were concerned that the blaze could spread to trees near the highway.
No injuries were reported.
