Firefighter Injured While Battling Hendersonville House Fire

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A firefighter was hurt while battling a house fire in Hendersonville on Friday afternoon.

The fire broke out sometime after noon on Waterview Drive, by Old Hickory Lake.

While battling the blaze, the water they were spraying on the home froze, and somehow a firefighter slipped and fell. The firefighter was taken to the local hospital for treatment, it was unclear how seriously he was hurt. 

No residents were hurt during the fire.

Fire officials said the home was extensively damaged in the fire, but was not a total loss. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
