APISON, Tenn.- People in east Tennessee reported feeling an earthquake Saturday morning. The magnitude 2.8 quake hit near the state line, in close proximity to Apison, Tennessee around 2:00 a.m.  Emergency operators say they got a handful of calls after people were awakened by the quake, but they say neither damage nor injuries were reported.

Earthquakes don't typically cause structural damage until they reach a magnitude of 5.5.
