NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Quick work by Nashville firefighters saved an entire apartment building Sunday morning.
The fire started just after 8:00 a.m. inside a unit at the complex on Andrew Jackson Way in Hermitage. Officials say when they arrived on the scene, smoke and flames had filled the room. However, within just a few minutes, they were able to control it from spreading to other apartments.
The woman living inside was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution. Investigators believed the fire started in the kitchen.
