Wanted Man Found Hiding Beneath Floorboards

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. - A man on the run from police was found hiding in a hole under his apartment.

Gary Page was arrested by Cookeville Police Thursday. They said he was wanted for warrants in nearby Clay County.

Officers got a tip he was staying at a house on West Broad Street. When they stopped by, a deputy saw Page through a window, but he wouldn't open the door. They kicked the door in, but Page had already disappeared.

During a search of the home, police discovered Page hiding inside a hole in a bedroom under the floorboards. They said it looks like it was dug intentionally to hide a person.
