CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Tenn. - He was a soldier just back from his second tour in Afghanistan, a hero welcomed back to Fort Campbell. But just days later, he was murdered on the side of the road.
"I loved him. You know he was my brother," said Tim Hamilton. "By blood we were cousins, but he was my brother."
Sunday, family of Vinson Goslyn, Jr. returned to the site of his murder on rural Fidelio Road in Christian County. One year ago, Goslyn was gunned down in his car. Police say his wife Jessie Goslyn and her boyfriend Jarred Long are responsible.
Goslyn served two tours in Afghanistan and one in Kuwait, so his three children are accustomed to not seeing him, but his family said this absence is taking a toll.
His wife and her boyfriend are awaiting trial later this year.
