HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – Students were evacuated after smoke filled a middle school in Hendersonville on Monday morning.
Firefighters responded to Hawkins Middle School about 8:45 a.m. and found some light smoke inside the building.
Students were outside for a short time while crews cleared the scene.
Sumner County school officials said the smoke was caused from a mechanical error in an AC units.
No students were injured.
