NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A driver said he blacked out before his SUV careened toward a fast food restaurant in Bellevue on Tuesday morning.
It happened around 11 a.m. at the Five Guys on Highway 70 South. The driver told police he blacked out before colliding with a tree by the patio area. He took out some patio furniture, and then broke out the side door and windows.
The driver was taken to St. Thomas Hospital, but is expected to be ok. His name was not released.
There were employees inside the building, but no one was hurt.
The restaurant was closed for several hours, but reopened to customers around 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
