Police Investigate Shooting In East Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro Police were called out to the scene of a shooting Friday night. The shooting happened just before 8:00 p.m. in the 100 block of Ewing Lane near the intersection of Dickerson Pike.

Police said the shooting happened in the parking lot of a shopping center during an attempted robbery. Three suspects in ski masks attempted to rob the victim, and then shot the victim. That person was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle. Detectives at the hospital talked to the victim to get details.

Police were searching for a maroon Chevy Malibu or Impala in connection with the shooting. No other suspect information was immediately available.
