One Brother Arrested, Another Wanted In Clarksville Party Shooting
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - One of two brothers wanted for a shooting at a Clarksville party has been arrested.
Early Sunday morning, police got a tip that Martavious Briggs was at a night club. They were able to arrest him without incident.
Police said Martavious Briggs was already on probation for reckless endangerment and aggravated assault.
On Friday, police said Martavious and Marcus Briggs were wanted in connection with a shooting at an apartment on Westfield Court around 10:30 p.m. on February 1.
Police said they walked through an unlocked door and opened fire. When police arrived on the scene, they discovered a chaotic scene with multiple victims and witnesses. One of the men inside the apartment suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, and another 27-year-old man was found outside on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg and also a hip injury. A third 18-year-old victim had an injury to her foot after jumping from the balcony.
Marcus is still wanted, and police said he's armed and dangerous.
