CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police in Clarksville said a driver took off from a traffic stop at a high rate of speed crashed into a building on Monday morning.

An officer had stopped the car just before 2 a.m., and said the car took off at a high rate of speed. He notified dispatch, who decided to let it go.

However, a few minutes later a call came into 911 about a vehicle that had hit a building on Howard Street.

No one was hurt, and the driver inside the vehicle bailed.
