Family Displaced After Fire In Bellevue Apartment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A family was displaced after a late night fire inside their apartment in Bellevue.

Firefighters said they saw fire and smoke coming from the front of the apartment building when they arrived at Creekwood Apartments on Highway 70 South around 11 p.m. Monday.

They believe the fire may have started in the kitchen.

One person was asleep at the time of the fire, but was able to escape unharmed.

Some surrounding apartments suffered smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
