Westbound I-40 Blocked After Vehicle Rollover

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two lanes of westbound Interstate 40 have been blocked near the Davidson/Wilson County line after a vehicle overturned on the roadway.

The crash was reported at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday near mile marker 223, about 2 miles before the Old Hickory Boulevard exit.

Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the right lanes of the interstate were blocked by the vehicle. Westbound traffic was slowed as drivers worked to get around the wreckage.

Eastbound traffic was also affected with rubbernecking delays.

Crews expected to have the scene cleared by 4:50 p.m.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Officials advised drivers to avoid the area.
