MAURY COUNTY, Tenn. - A Maury County man suspected of shooting his own brother turned himself in to police Wednesday night.
Police were searching for 60-year-old Stanley Pillow after he allegedly shot his brother 58-year-old Eddie Pillow around 7:30 p.m.
After the shooting, police launched a manhunt for Pillow in an area around Hampshire Pike and Highway 143. Around 11:30 p.m., Pillow came out from a wooded area with his hands up and surrendered to officers.
The sheriff said this isn't the first incident between the two brothers, and the whole neighborhood was on edge.
"Two nights ago we had a call out here, situation that one was threatening the other with a knife. Here we are again out here with a shooting," said Maury County Sheriff Enoch George.
Police located the gun they believe was used in the shooting in the backyard of the home where the brothers live.
Eddie Pillow was in stable condition as of late Wednesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
It was unclear what charges Stanley Pillow would face.
