NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville man was arrested after police found marijuana, cash and a stolen gun at his father's business.

According to a court affidavit, 29-year-old James Byrd was leaving his father's business on Murfreesboro Road when police stopped him because they believed he was a wanted person.

Officers searched him, and found $1,200 in his jacket and a plastic bag with marijuana. Police then made contact with his father who said he wasn't supposed to be there.

His father gave police permission to go inside his business and there they found a bag with more than 200 grams of marijuana. Officers also found a woman and a stolen gun inside the bathroom.

Police said the gun was stolen out of Rutherford County, and were trying to determine if the gun belonged to Byrd.

James Byrd allegedly told police he stole the money from his dad's business. Police also searched his personal car and found drugs.

He was charged with multiple drug and weapon charges. His bond was set at $19,000.
