Local Businesses Warned About Fire Inspector Imposter

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -  The Nashville Fire Marshal is looking for a Fire Inspector Imposter.

According to fire officials, surveillance pictures show a man walking into the Auntie Anne's Pretzel Store at the Mall at Green Hills last month.

The man told an employee of the store he was with the Nashville Fire Department and was there to do an inspection.  He then said he needed to be paid for the inspection.

Fire officials are urging all business owners to use caution if approached by anyone who is not in a Nashville Fire Department uniform.

Anyone who knows the identity of the man in the surveillance pictures is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
