Dean Seeks Ideas On Connecting Families To Library

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Nashville Mayor Karl Dean will hold a public round-table discussion to come up with ideas to better connect families with the Nashville Public Library.

The event on Wednesday will be held at the Downtown Nashville Public Library. Dean helped start the city's Limitless Libraries program that connected libraries in the city's public schools to the resources of the city library to provide students with much wider access to materials and resources.

The discussion will center on how to expand these efforts to families in the Nashville area. Participants will include Metro School Board members Jill Speering and Will Pinkston, library board members, Metro School librarians, and Roger Rosen, CEO of the educational publisher Rosen Publishing.
