New State Highway Map Available

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The 2013 official Tennessee Transportation Map is now available.

Among updates on the new map is the completion of state Route 840 that loops through Middle Tennessee south of Nashville.

Tennessee Transportation Commissioner John Shroar said the map is a valuable tool for motorists and can help them plan their route through Tennessee.

The new map is free and can be picked up at any welcome center and rest area along interstate highway. Up to five free copies can also be ordered online by individuals at http://www.tn.gov/tdot/maps.htm.

The highway map is a joint effort between the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
