NEW YORK (AP) - Nashville Predators forward Rich Clune has been fined $1,452.70 by the NHL on Wednesday for boarding Colorado Avalanche forward Aaron Palushaj.

The incident occurred at 12:32 of the first period of Colorado's 6-5 win on Monday. Clune was assessed a minor penalty for boarding.

Boarding is when a player pushes, trips or checks an opposing player violently into the boards of the rink.

The fine is the maximum allowed under the collective bargaining agreement.
