NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been charged after police said he was caught looking at child pornography on a computer at the Nashville Public Library.

Police arrested 51-year-old Jeffrey Rahn on Tuesday after they were called to the main library on Church Street. According to a court affidavit, Rahn admitted to officers that he had been looking at child porn on the public computers.

"He was able to circumvent those safeguards to get access to these sites. That part of it's still under investigation. Once we determine what he actually did to get around those safeguards, we'll obviously let the Public Library know so they can try to combat that in the future," said Michael Dudley with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

During an interview, police said Rahn gave them consent to view his cell phone and found approximately 10 images depicting prepubescent girls either nude or being sexually abused.

Rahn was charged with sexual exploitation of a minor. He was held on $10,000 bond. A court date was set for February 27.

Officers were able to respond to the incident very quickly, because several members of law enforcement were already at the downtown library for an award ceremony.
