Fire Rekindles At Damaged Home In Donelson

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A fire rekindled early Monday morning at a home in Donelson.

Firefighters were called back to the home on Jade Drive just before 5 a.m. to douse the flames that had rekindled. The initial fire broke out around 7 p.m. Sunday.

The family who lives at the home was able to escape the original fire, but was not there when it rekindled.

Most of the damage was in the attic, along with a large hole in the roof. The rest of the house suffered smoke and water damage.

Firefighters said a likely electrical fire spread through the home's ventilation system. However, the exact cause of the fire remained under investigation.
