NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 28-year-old elementary school teacher has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash on Friday night.

Carol Lampley passed away Saturday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Metro police announced Monday.

Police said Lampley was driving her 2005 Acura RXS eastbound on Thompson Lane when she left the roadway, crossed over the Franklin Road exit to Thompson Lane, and collided with a tree.
