Man Shot During Argument Over Not Helping Around House
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville Police need help locating a man wanted for shooting his mother's boyfriend during an argument about not helping around the house.
Henry Demetrius Shannon, 22, is wanted on aggravated assault charges in connection with the shooting Anthony Rhodes, 42, on Monday night. Police said Shannon should be considered armed and dangerous.
Officers received multiple calls of shots fired at the K building of the apartment at 2190 Memorial Drive around 9 p.m. Once they got on the scene, they discovered Rhodes had been shot in the neck inside one of the apartments. He was taken to Gateway Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
Witnesses told police that Rhodes got into an argument with a man nicknamed "BOBO," who was later identified as Shannon. At some point, a shot was fired. Police said the argument stemmed from Rhodes not helping at the apartment he shares with Shannon's mother.
Witnesses heard the gunshot, and saw Shannon holding a gun. He fled the scene before police arrived.
A 2-year-old child was inside the home during the altercation and shooting, but was not hurt.
Anyone with information on Shannon's whereabouts is asked to call the TIPSLINE at 931-645-8477.
