Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake pecans in a single layer on a baking sheet for 8 to 10 minutes until toasted, stirring halfway. Cool 15 minutes.
In a medium size bowl, stir together mayonnaise, hot sauce and garlic, then mix in cheese and toasted pecans.Line a 4-cup ring mold with a 2 1/2 inch center with plastic liner. Spoon mixture into the mold. Cover and chill for 2 hours.
Unmold cheese ring to your favorite serving platter. Fill center with jam or preserves and
garnish with bacon, parsley or white cheddar cheese.
