DCA officials said in a statement that they had become aware of inappropriate behavior by David Turner over the weekend. The school said they immediately began working with authorities in their investigation.
The details of the alleged inappropriate behavior were not immediately released.
The statement went on to say: "These situations must be handled very delicately and fall within boundaries given to us by authorities. The DCA administration and board of trustees are committed to communicating as much as possible as soon as possible. We have been proactive in addressing this issue but are limited in what we can say to be supportive of the process and people involved.
We hope all members of the community will exercise discretion when discussing this topic to be respectful to all parties involved. Ultimately, our students' welfare and best interest remain our top priority. We will continue to communicate as is appropriate in accordance with directives given to the school."
