NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A driver who struck a utility pole caused a power outage for nearly 2,000 people in south Nashville overnight.
Police said a driver was speeding around a curve on Mt. Pisgah Road, lost control and struck the pole around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. The driver suffered minor injuries.
The pole was knocked down, along with high line voltage wires.
Nashville Electric Crews were able to restore power by 1 a.m.; however, the pole will have to be replaced.
